Prey is a prime example of the new wave of sci-fi horror games that have been coming out lately. The Talos I is equipped with everything required to live comfortably in space, including a huge conservatory. The plotline is gripping and keeps the player's attention, and the origins of the alien threat are very complex and unique. The lavish space station has been designed to emulate the corporate luxury seen in the 1960s. The graphics echo BioShock, and the environment of the Talos I is incredibly intricate in its creation and design. The graphics used in Prey are next level, and the game is one of the most beautiful to be released this year.Īrkane Studios has outdone themselves Prey is truly a gorgeous game. A beautiful tribute to its sci-fi predecessors The aliens depicted in Prey are something that humanity has never encountered before - and they're in our heads. Nothing is as it appears to be, and you must unravel the clues that you seem to have left for yourself, all the while battling the aliens with only tools you can salvage and your wits. Players must dig into the secrets of Talos I and their own past. The station has been overrun by predatory aliens, and you are alone. Players take the role of Morgan Yu, the key subject in an experiment that has gone terribly, horribly wrong. Prey is a first person horror game set aboard the Talos I, a space station that orbits the moon in the year 2032. The latest survival horror game is here, and it's making waves. Prey is here, and it's everything we hoped for

Having given up the UEFA licenses last year, Konami is taking a different club partnership approach with eFootball PES 2020. We then got a second trailer courtesy of the demo launch in August, though that was naturally limited to the demo teams and players. Konami released the first trailer (below) for eFootball PES 2020 at E3 2019 in June. Meanwhile, Ronaldinho graces the cover of the eFootball PES 2020 Legend Edition. Lionel Messi is back as the PES cover star for the first time in eight years with eFootball PES 2020, and he's joined on the cover by three ambassadors - Juventus' Miralem Pjanić, Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry, and Manchester United's Scott McTominay - representing the three new big licenses Konami has spent on. These ratings may not be final though, as Konami does tend to release roster updates around launch day.įor now, the top 20 players (including PES Legends) in eFootball PES 2020 are in the following order: Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Zico, Virgil van Dijk, Gerard Piqué, Franco Baresi, Robert Lewandowski, Sergio Ramos, Paolo Maldini, Sergio Agüero, Romário, Eden Hazard, Ruud Gullit, Ronaldinho, David Beckham, Luis Suárez, Antoine Griezmann, and Harry Kane. While we've yet to browse through the game ourselves, unaffiliated site PES Master claims it has exported the entire eFootball PES 2020 database - worth 3,763 players across 134 teams - from the PES 2020 demo that was released last month.
Most aircraft’s flaps also have at least three positions (the A-10C and the F/A-18 are examples), and those that only have 2 flap positions can use the 3-position switch just as well by only using 2 of the 3 positions. You could probably get away with just 2-position switches, but things like the jammer and dispenser controls in the F/A-18 are more immersive and true-to-form with a 3-position switch, and in some cases, it’s quite necessary, such as the Waypoint/Markpoint/Mission selector in the A-10C’s CDU. I used a spreadsheet to organize all those lists, and to line up 2-position and 3-position switches. It was also really handy to have them assigned to anti-ice systems like pitot heat and carb heat since those are things I frequently switch on and off. In other aircraft, like the 737 or GA aircraft, I used them for things like autopilot controls, external lights controls, emergency systems, etc. I hence added things like engine controls (engine run/stop, canopy controls, gear, flaps, etc.). During my prototype trial, I found I also liked having switches assigned to things I would usually use the keyboard for, as it increased the immersion noticeably. I recommend getting comfortable with a HOTAS before building a switch panel, as your needs may change based on your HOTAS. Ideally, this should include things that you need to access on short notice but don’t have room for on your HOTAS, such as master arm, backup flight control systems, jammer controls, countermeasure controls, etc. However, the idea stuck, and last summer, with nothing better to do, I figured I’d build my own. It was, of course, out of my price range, and I would have to do some serious re-labeling if I was going to use it for fighter aircraft, which is what I really needed a switch panel for in the first place. I’d seen a Saitek switch panel, labeled with general aviation style functions: external lights, magneto controls, landing gear, pitot heat, etc. This is when my brain called up a memory from a while ago when I was browsing flight sim hardware just for fun (my antisocial, nerdy version of window shopping at the mall). However, I’ve run out of buttons and switches on my HOTAS. Besides, I hardly ever use many of the switches in the cockpit, and even fewer are ones I have to access on short notice. I don’t have the money or time for a full-cockpit setup, and even if I did, I’m not going to build one for every aircraft I fly (there are many). After spending many years in the flight sim community and getting involved in ever more complicated aircraft, I found myself yearning for the ability to keep my hands on physical switches instead of trying to fly with my right hand while using the mouse in my non-dominant left hand to click little switches around the cockpit on short notice. Three states are split between the Pacific Time Zone and the Mountain Time Zone, and Alaska is split between the Pacific Time Zone and Alaska Time Zone.Ītlantic, Alaska, Hawaii-Aleutian, Samoa, and Chamorro Time Zones cover the rest of the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and the other U.S. California and Washington are fully within PT. Only 9 states are fully within the Central Time Zone. Central Time Zone (CT): UTC-06:00 – includes parts of Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Central America, some of the Caribbean islands, and parts of the Eastern Pacific Ocean.Eastern Time Zone (ET): UTC-05:00 – includes 22 states in the eastern part of the contiguous United States, including some parts of Canada, Mexico, Panama, and the Caribbean islands. These time zones encompass most of the contiguous United States. Likely the most well-known include Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones. In the U.S., there are a total of 9 time zones used. As a general rule of thumb, a change of 15° of longitude should result in a time difference of 1 hour. Many countries have more than one time zone. The following map displays the standard time zones across the world. As can be seen, although there is a general standard throughout the world for defining time zones, it is still highly dependent on the country, and is subject to change. Russia on the other hand, is divided into 11 time zones, though at one point this was reduced to 9 time zones. For example, China and India only use a single time zone even though they are countries that encompass far larger an area than 15° of longitude. Generally, a time change of 1 hour is required with each 15° change of longitude, but this does not necessarily always happen. Nepal, the final holdout, did not adopt a standard offset of UTC until 1956, and even then, has a less common offset of UTC+5:45. It wasn't until 1929 before most countries adopted hourly time zones. Time zones throughout the world vary, and used to vary even more than they currently do. Most commonly, UTC is offset by an hour, but in some cases, the offset can be a half-hour or quarter-hour, such as in the case of UTC+06:30 and UTC+12:45. UTC offset can range from UTC-12:00 to UTC+14:00. Generally, time zones are defined as + or - an integer number of hours in relation to UTC for example, UTC-05:00, UTC+08:00, and so on. UTC breaks time into days, hours, minutes, and seconds, where days are usually defined in terms of the Gregorian calendar. Most time zones that are on land are offset from UTC. UTC is not dependent on daylight saving time (DST), though some countries switch between time zones during their DST period, such as the United Kingdom using British Summer Time in the summer months. UTC, which is based on highly precise atomic clocks and the Earth's rotation, is the new standard of today. Although GMT used to be a time standard, it is now mainly used as the time zone for certain countries in Africa and Western Europe. Although GMT and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) essentially reflect the same time, GMT is a time zone, while UTC is a time standard that is used as a basis for civil time and time zones worldwide. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the mean solar time at the Royal Observatory located in Greenwich, London, considered to be located at a longitude of zero degrees. They are often based on the boundaries of countries or lines of longitude. Related Time Calculator | Date CalculatorĪ time zone is a region on Earth that uses a uniform time. When we respect those around us, we tend to look beyond our thoughts and become better listeners. When learning to be an active listener starts by being respectful towards what others say and understanding that we all can learn something new and valuable from others over and above what we may believe or feel. Attitude is defined as a feeling of emotion that comes from understanding that we must be respectful towards what others say about a fact or state. Attitude- the first step to being a good active listener is to have the right attitude. The following are active listening skills (adapted from an article by Vantage circle ): People tend to gravitate toward active listeners because they feel valued and respected when talking with them. Active listening is an essential part of creating positive relationships at work. Being able to understand what your coworkers are saying and then providing useful feedback is a crucial element of being a team player.Īccording to Glassdoor, through active listening, you may strengthen interoffice connections and improve communication by demonstrating to your coworkers that you are genuinely listening to what they have to say. Active listening involves concentrating on what is being said unlike just passively hearing what the next person is saying. Listening is not the same as hearing, you could be hearing someone speak but it does not necessarily mean you are listening. It requires patience and commitment for one to acquire this skill. It is a skill that is developed over time and can be difficult to master. By committing and learning active listening skills, leaders can become effective listeners and over time become better leaders. For some the skill may come naturally for others it is a skill that can be obtained through practice. According to Nixaly (2020), active listening is the ability to listen with complete attention and an engaged mind and body. It involves understanding and grasping what the other person is saying, concentrating on their thoughts rather than your thoughts, especially when conducting remote communications.Ī good active listener makes the other person feel heard and valued. It goes beyond just listening, it involves paying attention to what someone is saying. And also how active listening brings changes in peoples attitudes toward themselves and others shaping their basic values and personal philosophy.Īctive listening is a crucial communication skill. They indicate how clinical and research evidence clearly shows it as one of the most effective agents for individual personality change and group development. Rogers and Farson define active listening as an important way to bring about changes in people. The term Active Listening was created in 1957 by two psychologists (Carl Rogers and Richard Farson).
